Debbie Turner

Scrapbooking since the age 8, Debbie finds it has continued to be a source of tremendous joy.  She’s been married since 1980 to Steve and they have 3 children and were foster parents for 15 years.  As a family, they enjoy camping, hiking, traveling and eating out.

Debbie is the author of Loving through Lifebooks, a hands-on training for foster parents and social workers on how to make lifebooks for children in care.  Debbie has worked with thousands of foster families in developing lifebooks and reaps the biggest reward in seeing the children’s faces as their book comes together.

Debbie has served on the Debbie Mumm and K&Co design teams and her work has been published in the Designer Scrapbooks with K&Co, several idea books and the cover of one of the QVC scrapbook product guides.  She was a top winner in a K&Co page contest several years ago.  She enjoys teaching classes at conventions, retreats and scrapbook stores both locally and nationally.  Perfect coordination is the hallmark of her designs and you can view her creations at Scrapbook Village located in Glasgow, Kentucky.

I have been scrapbooking for a few years, I enjoy crafting and scrapping.  I put together my first scrapbook 7 years ago for my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary.  Since then I have gotten more involved with scrapbooking.   My first projects consisted of crafting photo albums, sweat shirts, picture frames, Christmas ornaments and misc. crafts.  This led me to get involved with scrapbooking.  I have had the opportunity at Scrapbook Village to meet new friends and learn new techniques.

I live at Mount Hermon with my wonderful husband of 11 years; he is very supportive of my scrapping and encourages me to do my best.

I work full time for AFLAC and part time for Medical Management Billing Services of Yakima Wa.  I also assist my husband with marketing for his charter fishing service.

I look forward to the time I get to spend with the staff at Scrapbook Village, they have become like family to me.  I am excited about getting the opportunity to become the designer for the Monday morning class and hope to grow and learn with everyone there.
